JA Croson was founded in 1959 in Columbus, Ohio by Jim Croson pictured at right, with $500 borrowed from his mother and a 1950 pickup truck, also pictured (the tuxedo came much later).

The company established a Florida division in 1979, and 54 years after the company’s inception is now recognized as one of the premier mechanical contracting firms in the Southeast. This increase in the company’s geographic footprint has grown to include :

Florida, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia, and is primarily the result of being asked by our clients, both developers, and general contractors to get involved in their projects.

Our longevity, and impeccable reputation are a direct result of:

  2. Innovation: Working smarter, and finding ways to do more with less, yet never sacrificing quality. Our 65,000 sq ft. Central Florida facility includes an inhouse design build team with state of the art CAD capability that allows us to value engineer many of our projects.Additionally, the size of our warehouse provides us the opportunity to achieve economies of scale on materials with cost savings being passed on to the customer.
